June 17, 2010 Meeting
The Belton Lions Club members were entertained by the "Time Jumpers" band on Thursday night, June 17. The Lions were patting their feet to the music of old but familiar tunes not heard for some time. Members of the band are local residents David Singleton, Fred Norris, David King, and Charles Hanley.
In other business, the Belton Lions installed new officers and directors for the upcoming "75th Anniversary" fiscal year that begins July1. It was announced that 3 eye exams and 3 eye glasses were approved last month. Lions were also reminded to deliver the "Community Birthday Calendars" to their customers prior to July 1.
The Belton Lions Club meets every 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Latimer Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitors and prospective men and women members are welcome.

In April 2006 the Belton Lions Club Sight Committee initiated a change in the procedure for obtaining new eye exam/glasses; whereas the Lions will pay 100% for the first two exam/eye glass requests and 50% on the third request. After an individual has been helped three times, there will be no additional aid provided. As in previous years, the individual must wait three years before requesting another exam/pair of glasses.

- Community Birthday Calendar Sales - Orders for the 55th Edition of the Belton Community
Birthday Calendar will be taken from January 21 - February 18, 2010. The calendars will be
published by the Gordon Bernard Company in Milford, Ohio. The calendars will be delivered
to the members of the Belton Lions Club at the May 20th meeting for distribution to their
customers prior to July 1, 2010.
